I have listed the types of soap. Below
Hard and soft most times hardness of soap is achieved by adding hardening agents, that is to say the more the harnening agent, the harder the soap will be. This is one reason why many natural soaps are softer. Hard soap can be produced through repeat regrinding and re-forming process. Another way of improving the hardness of soap is to reduce the moisture content of the soap this can be done by increasing curing in very low humidity conditions. Below are the different types of soap.
1. GLYCERINE SOAPS
Glycerine is normally produced in the process of making soap. Glycerine attracts water which is why soaps with glycerine in them usually makes the skin moisture. Because glycerine soaps attract water, they have more water in them and attract water from the atmosphere, this is the cause of sweating in humid conditions. Most commercial soaps so not have glycerine component during manufacture because it can sold separate. You can learn how to make good glycerine soaps here.
2. LIQUID SOAPS
Liquid soaps is a common type of soap but are the most difficult to make and many of the commercial liquid soaps are nothing but detergent. The will also do normal cleaning.
Soaps made from synthetic surfactants which do not have soap components in them are good types of liquid soap. This could also make the soap PH neutral. Learn how to make liquid soap here
3. TRANSPARENT SOAPS
This type of soap is not common. In making transparent soaps, you will need to use some different components and some form of alcohol to alter the manufacturing process and the process should done at higher temperatures. You can learn more about how yo make transparent here
