Easy steps to Make your own Balm today

Stop buying and start making, learn how to make balm for home use or for sale. In my last post i taught how to make air freshener check it in this post "manufacture your own AIR FRESHENER from where you are" you will learn how to make your own balm.

Before we start it is good to know the various apparatus needed for the production of balm.

Apparatus:

1.     Boiler

2.     Mixer

3.     Heating source

4.     Containers

5.     Carton

6.     Machines

Now that we know the apparatus for the production of balm let us now look at the chemicals needed and their measurement.

8.	Tincture of capsicum	80

Note: all the above measurements are subject to multiplication and division but make sure it is done with a constant factor. (E.g. 100 grams of Turpentine oil divide by (2) = 50 grams. 80 grams of Tincture of capsicum divide by (2) = 40 grams. If you get this wrong you will not produce a good air freshener

Method:

After setting the heat system, place the clean metallic boiler on it. Add the stated amount of petroleum jelly according to you own formulation. Now heat for at least two (2) minutes and add the required amount of paraffin wax, stir very well for complete and add these homonegenization and add the other chemicals at one (1) minute interval; methyl crystal (usually in flakes form), methyl salicylate, turpentine and eucalyptus oil respectively with constant stirring. If you are using peppermint oil which is usually in liquid form, add it before methyl salicylate, add tincture of capsicum and finally add the camphor rectified.

Now set apart little quantity of the mixture using a small container and allow cooling to test for the desired texture, if it is very watery, add small quantity of paraffin wax and continue heating till you get your desired texture. You can now package it in your containers and begin your supply.

Note: methyl crystal, methyl salicylate, tincture of capsicum, camphor rectified, peppermint oil, turpentine and eucalyptus oil are all medically and pharmacological active ingredient which helps in the relief of cold, back ache, rheumatism, arthritis and other body weaknesses. Don’t forget to melt the wax and the camphor rectified separately for accurate measurement of the required quantity.

Now you are ready to be a balm manufacturer.
