How to make Chelsea buns with basic Chelsea bun recipe

Let me not bore you with all the old story about the history of Chelsea buns, and let me take you straight to the basic chelsea bun recipe and show you how to make perfect Chelsea buns from scratch.

Chelsea buns Ingredients: 

Flour - 1kg
Butter- 40g
Eggs - 2
Milk - 1/2 cup (powdery)
Nutmeg - 1
Yeast - 3 take spoon
Milk flavour - 1(1/2) table spoon
Cake fruit - As desired
Salt - 1/2 table spoon
Sugar - 2 (1/2) cup
Vegetable oil

Homemade Chelsea buns direction:

1. Sieve the flour in a bowk, add butter and enough sugar and mix ver well.

2. Put the yeast in a deep plate add a pinch of salt then mix the milk with warm water and add it to the yeast. Now sprinkle flour it and keep in a warm place to bubble.

3. When mixing the flour, make a hole at the centre, add whisked eggs, milk mixed with warm water and the add the bubbled yeast inside and mix thoroughly.
Note: make sure that the yeast is bubbled before adding it.

4. Now sprinkle flour on a table, put the dough on the table and sprinkle flour on it and knead always sprinkle flour on it to make it easy to knead. After thorouh kneading, spinkle flour in a bowl put the dough inside and cover with a wet napkin. Put it in a warm place to proof.

5. After sometime knead it again for the second and third time.

6. Now sprinkle flour on the talble, put the dough knead a little. Put clean pot on the fire, when the pot is dry, pour the vegetable oil, allow the oil to heat and then grate the nutmeg in a plate.

7. Now take the dough and sprinkle flour on it, rub flour on the rolling pin and roll the dough. Make it flat after rolling, rub the melted butter on it, sprinkle the grated nutmeg on top and sprinkle sugar on it. Now sprinkle the cake fruit then cover by rolling to any shape or size you want.

8. Finally cream the baking pan with butter, (this is done to make it easy to remove the chelsea buns after baking), sprinkle flour on top of it and arrange the doughs standing on the pan put in the oven and bake for about 20 - 30 minutes depending on the size until golden brown. After baking remove it from the oven and you have your chelseas bun.

With this basic Chelsea bun recipe you should have no problem making Chelsea buns.
